It only took one weekend visit to Oriental for her to fall in love with the lifestyle and the area, and she is passionate about connecting her clients with their dream lifestyle as well. Karen has built this agency around the principles of teamwork, integrity, and communication. When she isn’t in the office or at a showing, you can find Karen fishing from her dock or out on her boat enjoying the Neuse River.

MEET KAREN

After a long and successful career in the rental car industry, Karen "retired," to a new career in real estate. When she and her husband, Barry, fell in love with Oriental on a weekend visit in 2018, she moved that venture to the Neuse River and settled into the coastal lifestyle.

Karen brings straightforward honesty, deep knowledge of the local area, and consistent communication to her work with clients. She believes in the importance of listening first and encourages all of her clients to have patience and trust the process.

When Karen opened the doors at Karen Thomas Real Estate she envisioned a different kind of real estate experience - one that was clear, supported, and personal. And she has built this business on a foundation of integrity, teamwork, and local expertise.

Karen's favorite part of the process - "when a buyer walks into a property and you can just see the smile on their face that says 'this could be the one.'"
